Zeltbahn 31, 1940 Dated

A very good example of the highly successful Zeltbahn 31, in overall very good condition with a small are of damage to one of the lower corners, and one L shaped tear measuring only 2 cms x1 cm.
All buttons appear to be in place and the colours remain bold if a little dirty.
Made of a artificial cotton called Makostoff, they were intended for a multitude of roles from foul weather Poncho to tent section and camouflage cover. These continued to be utilised after the war and consequently are usually found in well used condition. As a small boy I can well remember farmers using them while tending their cows in Jersey.
