Heer M42 Single Decal Helmet
A nice untouched example of an M42 single decal EF62 Heer helmet, with a lot number of 2944.
The shell retains most of the original factor rough finish with the exception of a small amount of loss on the inside of the brim at the front where there is a very small dent.
The decal shows some flaking revealing its white under layer but the overall appearance is very good.
Inside, the liner band sits very well against the shell and all three pins and washers are in place an unmolested.
The sheepskin liner is very good with a small amount of surface loss as is so typical of this leather but the original liner cord has pulled through two of the tongues.
The chinstrap is a nice example with the tip showing the three letter manufacture’s code and 1943 and is free from damage.
Army M42’s are not particularly easy to find with a decal, the practice of applying them being dropped during 1943
