1936 Dated Heer Infantry Officer's Cap

An exceptionally nice example of a 1936 dated Infantry Officer’s Peaked (Visored) Cap in the early saucer shaped Tellerform.
Were it not for the slightest signs of use to the sweatband, I would have thought the cap had never been used with overall condition being excellent.
Piped in white for the infantry, the field grey material is of quality Trikot ribbed wool and is without blemish as is the rest of the cap. The insignia is stamped aluminium and is again excellent, as are the silver woven cap cords and peak (visor)
The interior is lined with a golden brown cotton and the size 59 remains underneath the celluloid protector.
On the underside of the sweatband are the stamped details of the maker, Albert Kempt, and the date.
It would be quite impossible to upgrade this superb example.
