Bar To the Iron Cross First Class
With the reconstitution of the Iron Cross in September 1939, a Bar was instituted for those who had received the Cross in the First World War and were again awarded the same grade in the second.
Tombac with a nickel silver plating, this superb example is perhaps the finest I have seen and most certainly the finest I have owned. Overall condition is near excellent with just some slight loss to the plating on the reverse.
The “Spange” as it is more correctly termed is complete with its’ original presentation box, also in very good condition.
It would be difficult to upgrade this lovely example .
