1943 Dated HSAT British Airborne Helmet

Marking the changeover year from the leather chinstrap to the later webbing chinstrap, 1943 dated British Airborne Helmets (HSAT) are more collectable and somewhat scarcer than their 1944 dated counterparts.
This nice example is in very good condition and clearly displays the BMB stamp along with the size 7 5/8 and of course the 1943 date.
The shell retains most of the original rough finish under a dark olive paint which is perhaps 70% in place. Inside, the liner and sweatband are very good with the Sorbo rubber remaining soft and with the chinstrap perhaps a little dirty from service use but otherwise very good. The bump pad is in place.
The net and scrim show wear and tear absolutely typical of service use.
